About Me

Hi, I’m Courtney, a classically trained violinist and Irish fiddle player from Co. Wicklow. I perform as a solo violinist and with my Irish traditional bands, Electrad and Ceili Cottage, and have had the pleasure of touring throughout Europe and the US with various Irish music groups and dance productions over the past 15 years.

Along the way, I’ve shared the stage with incredible musicians including Westlife, Damien Dempsey, Mickey Joe Harte, Chasing Abbey, B*Witched, Mary Black, Kíla, Charlie McGettigan, Foster & Allen, John Sheahan, and Paddy Moloney, and performed at festivals such as Ortiguera (Spain), Electric Picnic (Ireland), and Harare (Zimbabwe).

I’ve also ventured into theatre, performing on violin in Conor McPherson’s The Weir at the Abbey Theatre, alongside Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey) and Peter Coonan (Love/Hate / Peaky Blinders), and in Damien Dempsey’s production Tales from the Holywell.

I am highly specialised in the wedding industry, performing at over 300 ceremonies and receptions as both a solo violinist and with my award-winning Irish music group, Ceili Cottage. I love creating beautiful, emotional, and bespoke music programmes that perfectly suit each couple’s tastes and interests.

  • We just had our wedding at Waterford Castle and we had Courtney as our musician. From the start of booking process to the final song she played, Courtney was so professional, cheerful and efficient. We had to do some last minute changes at the time of dinner but nothing was a bother for her. Our guests were so delighted by her music, one of our musician friends also commended her music and her stamina for playing music all throughout the ceremony and dinner. From her responsiveness during the planning process to executing all the songs with such grace, she was the perfect vendor. She learned two new songs for us, You’ll Never Walk Alone for my husband’s song (a hit among the lads) and a Bollywood song for our fusion wedding (which had our guests so emotional). Both my husband and I, and our guests still rave about her two months later; we can’t wait to get our full video back to hear everything she played perfectly again!
